three ideas that will make the new Jelly App a billion dollar company soon

Jelly app is for taking a picture of anything and asking your friends on Facebook and twitter what it is exactly. For example, a picture of Mark Zuckerberg texting and driving on a $40,000 Black Volkswagen GTI went viral online a few days ago. I myself downloaded the new app on iTunes and I’m very impressed of how it is used. However, will it become the next billion dollar app like Twitter?

Here are three ideas that I came up with that will benefit the new app:

1.)  Add your friends through contacts:

As of right now you can only receive conversations for those that have the Jelly App already on twitter and Facebook. My suggestion is to allow users to invite their friends through contacts that may not even have  a Facebook or a twitter account, but has the Jelly app. Popular apps like Snapchat, allows its users to invite friends that already have the app through their contacts and you can invite those who don’t have the jelly app at all through via SMS.

2.) upload YouTube videos:

For users that have the Jelly app  do you realize that you can also upload images from Google? Well what if the Jelly was capable  of uploading YouTube clips to your account and ask questions based on the video you have chosen cool right? For example, you upload a YouTube short movie clip of The Great Gatsby and ask your friends how was the movie or who wants to see it with me.

3.) Promoting questions:

Promoting users messages would be similar to twitter, a billion dollar company that allows users to post their tweets on T.V. such as ESPN, CBS, NBC, and other popular media channels. This indeed, will to be the turning point to Jelly app if they decide to take that approach.

In a few year, their would be no surprise if the Jelly app becomes a billion dollar company soon.

Ten tips that will help you become a better entreprenuer

A new year means a fresh start from previous financial disasters, new projects, and start ups. So it is your choice of knowledge to either improve on your mistake or continue to make your successful business global:

Here are the ten tips that will help you become a better entrepreneur:

1. Confront and work on your challenge areas. Knowing your strengths is easy. Facing and fixing your weaknesses can sometimes create inaction in all of us. But to grow, it is important to make this change.

There are a billion “I can’t” reasons and most are founded on nothing but fear — many times we are simply standing in our own way.

Related: New Year’s Resolutions from 10 Young Entrepreneurs

Use 2014 to pinpoint and build up the areas that are challenging you. Classes are great, but as entrepreneurs we need action now. Be proactive by turning to the internet. Look for information, articles, mentors and online tutorials for help.

2. Blend work-life and personal life. Professional life and personal life can be horrible counter weights to each other, creating an imbalance. Scrap the balancing act. Focus on what you’re passionate about and maintain your intention to have more of it in your life.

For 2014, look for quick and convenient ways to blend personal life and professional life into a healthier lifestyle that works better for you, the people you love and your job. Honestly, if you add value it doesn’t matter how the job gets done.

3. Let apps do the hard work. What’s taking up your time? There’s probably an app for it. Let it do the work. For instance, Cardmunch is awesome. It automatically converts business cards into contacts with a click of a button. Or 1Password stores all your logins and passwords in a safe, easy to access place. If you find a task taking up too much time, see if there is a tool that can make your life easier.

4. Give a little help. When someone hands me a business card I make a note of how I can help that person. I like to connect people and have always valued when it’s done for me, so I try to give back when relevant. It could be as easy as connecting them with a colleague or sending a book or digital article relevant to a conversation.

5. Play tag. Another business card tip? “Tag” business cards when you receive them. Immediately jot down tags, or notes, to help you remember what the business card doesn’t tell you, such as their interests, goals, alma mater or a mutual contact, among other details. Act fast, while the light bulbs are coming on in your head and be succinct.

6. Have the difficult conversations. A friend and advisor told me something a few years ago that has really stuck with me. He said, “The person who can’t have the difficult conversations won’t be around long.” What a profound, true statement that is — both personally and professionally.

Have the difficult conversations in 2014: at work and at home, with others and yourself. If you approach these conversations in the right way, you’re likely to learn and grow in the long run.

7. Make a game out of KPI (Key Performance Indicator). In everything you do this year, find the KPIs by looking for the things that signal success or failure.

Make a game out of KPI and have fun. For example, when we make a big announcement at my accounting app company Sage One, we try to beat the high score for opened emails, clicks and trials.

8. Have a two-minute rule for no-brainer tasks. Save your perfectionist and OCD tendencies for the important stuff. I like to blaze through the mindless tasks first thing in the morning when I am planning my day and setting daily goals. When things pop up and take two minutes or less, I like to figure them out immediately.

The time to kick the OCD into high gear and give proper attention is when focusing on higher priorities and early-stage ideas. Otherwise, they will die on the vine.

9. The visual bypass. What is the best way to receive buy-in on ideas to ensure they reach market? Who knows: I still haven’t figured it out yet.

But lately I’ve found I saved a lot of time by presenting my ideas visually. Aside from it saving time, telling your story, plan or strategy visually creates more groupthink within the team. How so? A visual of an idea with succinct requirements tends to be shared more across groups, thereby, increasing early-stage comprehension of a new idea or project. This is always a good signal that you’re on the right path, and it accelerates the validation from important stakeholders — a key requirement for any idea to gain early traction.

My go-to tool is Omnigraffle. It’s great for mapping the journey of our customer and finding areas where we can improve.

10. Take an improv class. I took a weekly improv class for six months. I can’t tell you how much this helped me professionally by allowing me to be myself more, took away my jitters and taught me the ever-important fearlessness to fail.

How our brains react to the virtual reality game DIVE

Like us on facebook

How does the brain differentiate from reality to virtual reality?  Well take the 3D virtual reality system for example which was introduced in the international CES 2014. This new piece of kit is capable of filling players field of vision to make it believe that your in a new virtual world which is known as an illustration. So what does it do exactly to our brains? Well when we wear it our brain starts to make assumptions of what is happening based on priority experience and censor information. As a result it seems to trick our brains believing that we are really in a whole new dimension crazy right?

Psychologist  Richard Wisman makes numerous videos on how easy it is to hoax your brain with false information:

Dives Hardware:

The hardware is designed to make Dive is that they use two lenses place in front of a single display. The result, is the user seeing two slightly different images shifty horizontally which is also used to make 3D. However, this is only one part of the DIVE virtual game.

There is also a 1,000 heart orientation sensor, including gyroscope, and magnetic sensors all which provides slick head tracking with almost undetectable latency.

The future is upon us and we can feel it grasp to our finger tips.

The disapearing app Snapchat has triplets

Clipchat, Poke app, and Confide are all works of Snapchat’s disappearing sensation act that is valuated to be three billion dollars.

Here are the three apps that you maybe familiar with or not:

Poke app:

Unlike Snapchat, Poke does not appear to notify users if a message recipient takes a screenshot of the correspondence before it expires. In a way, this is good, because it doesn’t give a false sense of security. On the other hand, some users might forget that someone can easily turn their temporary messages into something that’ll haunt them permanently.

ClipChat:

Clipchat’s interface is clean and more grown-up looking than its predecessor (not necessarily a good thing for this teenager-dominated market), and it mercifully has no purple. It also boasts a feature that lets users see blurred image previews. Once you press down on the image to get a clearer view, an animation takes effect to de-blur the image right before your eyes. While Snapchat prioritizes photo-sharing, Clipchat’s default is set to video.

Confide:

Confide is a free message-deleting IM app for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch users. You can send text messages to any e-mail address, either by choosing someone from your contact list or manually entering the address.
To read your message, however, your recipient must also sign up for a Confide account and download the app. Viewing a message for the first time prompts them to do so.

Reading the message on an iOS device requires your recipient to drag a finger across the screen to reveal each word. A read receipt is also sent to you once your message has been read.

The 3D printer is the real deal

Like us on facebook

Can you imagine a printer that is capable of replicating anything similar to what we see on Sci-fi? Well a company called  Z corporation was the first to manufacture this machine making them the worlds leading manufactures of three dimensional printers that designs objects that you can hold on your hand amazing right?

https://i0.wp.com/i.materialise.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2012/04/Image017.jpg

The objects are made by special engineered materials that start out as powder that they add into a binary material that bonds the powder together making a beautiful flower post for valentines day. Now for the fun part, lets say you decided to make a prototype model of your spatula, well in order to make sure your prototype will come to life, you will need a scanner that will impute the image to a computer that will be sent to the printer to make your master piece.

Wait you can make print food too No Way!!!

Indeed, The Chief Jet 3D which is similar to Z corporation’s 3D printing machine, prints out delicious food which are really edible.

Here’s how it works: A rolling pin-like mechanism first spreads a fine, even layer of powder on the printing surface. An inkjet print head then sprays a narrow stream of water, drawing on the layer of sugar in whatever pattern the owner has pre-programmed. When the water hits the powder, it recrystallizes, so that whatever the water touches hardens

Reasons why Apples new iwatch will flop in the market if battery life issue is not improved

Like us on facebook

Since Samsung’s new galaxy gear smart phone reached the market it received horrible reviews. Will Apple’s new iwatch flop in the market too? Maybe, but unless they fix their battery life issue I believe it will be better.

https://i0.wp.com/images.wallstcheatsheet.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/02/iwatch.jpg

Here’s why:

Battery life issues were brought to light in early 2013. Supposedly, early versions of the iWatch were only seeing a battery life of two to three days. This made Apple look into other screen technologies to help extend the battery life between charges. OLED is known for its better power consumption compared to tradition LCD screens, but some are suggesting that Apple is exploring options other than OLED.

As it stands, an Apple device (especially a wearable one) with a short battery life would flop in the market. In 2011, with the launch of the iPhone 4s and iOS 5, Apple was under fire for a slew of battery-related issues. However, a quick update to the software fixed the problem. Apple is apparently trying to get ahead of the same kind of issues with the iWatch. The company’s fans are notorious for their love it or hate it attitude. The iWatch is rumored to use a 100mAh battery similar to the sixth-gen iPod nano.

But there has apparently been a struggle within Olloclip about whether or not to offer an iPad lens. Now the struggle is over, and iPad-loving photographers have won: The first Olloclip lens for iPad will be available soon.

Facebook wants to compete against other mobile company’s after buying little eye labs

Facebook believes buying little eye lab will give them an advantage against  Apple, Samsung and Google for mobile phones.

https://i0.wp.com/s3.firstpost.in/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/LittleEyeFacebookWebsite.jpg

Facebook has acquired year-old Indian start up Little Eye Labs to help concentrate on mobile development for the social media platform.

As part of the acquisition, Little Eye Labs will relocate to Menlo Park, California, the home of Facebook’s headquarters.

“From there, we’ll be able to leverage Facebook’s world-class infrastructure and help improve performance of their already awesome apps. For us, this is an opportunity to make an impact on the more than 1 billion people who use Facebook,” the start up wrote on its site.

The transaction also means that Little Eye Labs has stopped accepting any new signups to its service.

Its core business revolves around developing performance analysis and monitoring tools for Android developers. This includes tracking and monitoring how apps and processes consume handset resources such as power, memory, storage; the impact of processes and active hardware like GPS and Wi-Fi; and events and logs at the application and system level.

Although no new customers can sign up for these features, Little Eye Labs has promised a free version of its existing offering to its current customers, which will work up until June 30.

A source familiar with the deal told Tech Crunch that the acquisition was made in the range of $10 million to $15 million.
