An app that makes it easier for spouse to cheat

A disappearing app called Confide self destructs your text message after being read sneaky right?

https://i0.wp.com/www.adweek.com/files/imagecache/node-detail/news_article/confide-phone-hed-2013.jpg

Reading the message on an iOS device requires your recipient to drag a finger across the screen to reveal each word. A read receipt is also sent to you once your message has been read.

After the message is closed, though, it disappears for both the sender and the receiver, which is the whole point behind the app. The messages themselves are also private and encrypted to protect them on their journey.

Swiping to read the message feels cumbersome, but the description of the app explains that swiping is required to prevent someone from taking a screenshot of the text.

In my testing, the process worked as promised. I sent a text message to another account. After I read and closed the message through that account, the message was no longer accessible.

Snapchat offers a similar feature, deleting your snaps after they’re read. But those of you not into Snapchat should find Confide a handy way to keep your messages private and protected.

Flipagram the next top app on itunes and Google play?

Like us on facebook

Flipagram which rhymes with instagram is an app that   lets you create short video stories, using your Instagram, Facebook and photos saved on your mobile device.

We often get new third party applications that quickly become massive hits almost overnight and this has certainly been the case recently with apps that allow users to share images or videos to social networking websites, but the Flipagram for Android download brings headaches for many users of the app.

The Flipagram application has become one of the most popular third party apps for allowing users to create short and personalized video clips. A user can pick any images required from Facebook, Instagram, and the devices photo gallery to be included into a slideshow video.

You can simply sort photos and adjust the timing of the photo flips while also selecting a cool music track to accompany the video before sharing the video to your social networking accounts. Trouble is despite receiving a recent update the Flipagram for Android app is causing users a number of problems.

The main issue with the app for many users is that it keeps crashing especially when they are trying to record something. On the Google Play Store users have left many one star reviews for the Flipagram app and some have stated that the photos are left really blurry, but some users are not reporting any problems with the app.

Hopefully the developers will soon get another update pushed out to the Flipagram app to address any issues that are affecting it.

A new feature for the new iphone battery case

The new battery iphone case is not just an ordinary case that is capable of longer life, but its also allows users to file more space for their stuff:

On the iPhone, Mophie provides an application called Space, which gives iOS 7 something it otherwise intentionally avoids: a traditional file system. (Depending on your attitude, that’s either sacrilegious or great news — or maybe both.) The app lets you see files you transferred from your computer, view photos and other files, listen to music and watch videos. You can also open files such as PowerPoints in any iOS apps you’ve got that are capable of editing them. And you can sync photos back and forth between the Space Pack and your phone’s internal memory.

In broad strokes, at least, Space works similarly to the apps that come with other iOS external-storage devices from companies such as Seagate and SanDisk. Like them, it can’t fully insinuate itself into iOS: For instance, you can’t decide to play music stored on Space Pack’s storage using Apple’s Music player, or move movies from Apple’s Video player onto the Space Pack. Still, this device looks like the simplest way yet to give a maxed-out iPhone a bit more space.

My question is, will Apple  sell this battery saving case since they already have one called Morphy except this case  doesn’t have extra storage for your files?

The new iphone stun gun case

With all these gadgets making headlines their is no surprise that the iphone stun gun case won’t do the same

The Yellow Jacket stun-gun case first showed up as an Indiegogo fundraising project back in the middle of 2012. That original model reached the world in early 2013, but a major redesign geared for the iPhone 5 and 5S has now landed at CES.

The original Yellow Jacket was a bit chunky-looking. The new one is a little more streamlined, but best of all, it’s also detachable. You can easily remove your phone to let the kids play with it without also allowing them access to a 650,000-volt stun gun. There’s also a big difference in the terrifying sound the new case makes. The original had kind of a fizzy zap to it. The new one is throaty and intimidating.

There are always going to be questions about the wisdom of having that much electricity surging near an expensive electronic device, but I got to see it in action and the phone doesn’t skip a beat, even when the electricity is raging. The revamped build for the iPhone 5 is also relatively comfortable to hold for regular phone activities. Safety switches are designed to keep it from going off unexpectedly.

The new case is due out in February for $149. The old case for iPhone 4 is still available for $99. If you’re on the fence about the device, consider that it can also be used as a battery backup for your phone. That makes the bulk a little more tolerable. It’s also designed to keep 10 percent of its power in reserve to feed the stun feature in an emergency situation.

The Yellow Jacket is always going to be a bit divisive. If you’re the kind of person who would carry a stun gun anyway, then this may be the case for you. If you’re not, then you might just shake your head at the idea and move along.

Six reasons why Ps4 dominates Xbox one

Like us on facebook

1. Sony overpowers Mircosoft in sales: in 2013 Sony sold 4.2 million in sales which dwarfs the Xbox one impressive 3 million number.

2. Territory release Sony’s PS4 has been released in far more territories to date. The PS4 is being sold in 48 territories around the world while the Xbox One is only out in 13. This alone might account for a huge portion of the difference, though it should be said neither the One or PS4 are out in the all-important market of Japan yet, and that release will obviously pad Sony’s lead further.

3. Time of release Technically, the PS4 has been out a week longer than the Xbox One as there was a difference between its North American release and its premiere two weeks later in other parts of the world. This could be some small factor, but not enough to explain much of the disparity.

4. Price Lest we forget, the PS4 is $400 USD while the Xbox One is $500. Obviously that’s going to make it easier for Sony to move more units across the world at a lower price. The problem is that just because the One costs more, it’s not that Microsoft is making huge profits on it. It’s priced that way because of the added cost of the Kinect, so the margins of the two consoles are likely pretty similar.

5. Kinect I’m willing to make this a factor all by itself. In my estimation, the Kinect still hasn’t proved its worth for Microsoft, and shown that it was worth increasing the price of the entire system. In addition to the $100 extra cost which most may not think worthwhile, there are still fears, however tinfoil hat-ish, about a US-made machine with a video and audio recorder permanently pointed at your living room. I think the Kinect prevents more sales than it brings in at this point, as its functionality is overshadowed by fear and sticker shock.

6. Lingering doubts After the Xbox One launch fiasco where Microsoft was forced to change policy after policy regarding the system, there were bound to be some hard feelings with consumers who viewed the One as damaged in their eyes. This was bound to translate into a few lost sales during the initial launch window, but as things were relatively close until this point, it didn’t seem like much of a factor. But now with the holiday over, it seems when people were given the choice between the PS4 and One, they ended up choosing the PS4 more often, so perhaps hurt feelings and distrust still lingers

So is the Xbox one in trouble? Not really, the Xbox one was six weeks earlier than the Ps4 so it will be fine.

T-mobile will pay you how much to switch over?

If someone offers you money to side with them would you do it? I would; T-mobile is offering new costumers to switch to their service for $650 dollars:

https://i0.wp.com/img.talkandroid.com/uploads/2012/05/t-mobile1.jpg

The company added 4.4 million customers in 2013 — its biggest growth in eight years. The company says it’s proof its “uncarrier” strategy — aimed to upend the mobile industry — is working after only 8 months.

In the fourth quarter alone T-Mobile added 1.6 million new subscribers, bringing its total customer base to nearly 47 million people.

T-Mobile (TMUS) shares temporarily stopped trading after the company made the surprise announcement. The company intends to release full details of its earnings Feb. 25.

That news was paired with an offer to people who want to switch but are stuck with bigger carriers like AT&T (TFortune 500), Verizon (VZFortune 500) or Sprint (S,Fortune 500): Cancel your contract and we’ll pay your termination fees up to $650. That deal includes a maximum of $350 per line and $300 per phone.

The catch? You must trade in your old phone, buy a new one from T-Mobile and fork over your current number.

The deal is likely to be perceived as a response to AT&T’s $450 pitch earlier this week to T-Mobile customers. But it’s just the latest move in the company’s strategy to kill contracts and hand customers more power.

“We will become famous for this in 2014,” CEO John Legere told reporters at this year’sConsumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. “We’re going to force the industry to change. I want every customer to have a complete choice. It’s going to be a healthier industry.”

This is the same irascible executive who crashed AT&T’s party at CES this week and got kicked out by security. He’s a former AT&T executive at that.

Flying delivery drones are behind Amazons success?

Like us on facebook

Ever wished that your online order would arrive faster? Well Amazon CEO Jeff Brezos has the solution; a fully automatic flying drones that deliver your orders less than 30 minutes incredible right!!!

In an interview with Charlie Rose, Bezos said  Amazon is testing the so-called “Prime Air” service in a “secret laboratory.” The idea is simple: just click on an order and an octocopter will pick up the item from the nearest warehouse and fly it straight to you.

“I know this looks like science fiction — it’s not,” Bezos told 60 Minutes. The audacious plan is still four or five years away, he added, and requires safety testing, FAA approvals and drone-friendly distribution centers to be built. But the machines can currently transport packages that weight five pounds or less.

The video of the concept gives an inspiring vision of the future: a silent drone, conveniently stamped with an Amazon logo, hovers into a spotless warehouse, and then, across on a plush field against a sunny sky, to seamlessly drop off a package.

Whether the drones take flight is still a matter of speculation and regulation. But make no mistake, the technology to make it possible is here. And Amazon, which serves over 225 million customers, or more than 300 items a second, around the world, is ruthless in cutting costs to gain an advantage.

Amazon wants to sell everything to everyone, and it’ll need a way ship it to them. ♦

A Burrito vending machine?

According to Newsfeed.time.com,  Burritobox which is considered the first ever vending machine to store different varieties of burritos has become a sensation. Beware Taco Bell and Chipotle you have new competitor.

Any Mexican food lover knows that when a burrito craving hits, it hits hard. And sometimes the idea of driving all the way to Chipotle or Taco Bell is just too much. For those days, there’s Burritobox, which is billed as the “world’s first burrito kiosk.”

The giant orange box of heaven allows you to pick between six different varieties of warm burritos for just $3. Box Brands, the company behind this potentially genius invention, boasts that its burritos contain 100% natural ingredients and no hormones or antibiotics. You can find the vending machine on Santa Monica Blvd in Los Angeles–inside a Mobil station, of course. The dispenser also plays music videos to entertain you while you anxiously await your future food baby. Which means you can dance like this girl while you wait:

When its the right time to give up

If your first project isn’t attracting enough consumers or viewers as you expected, you can always pursue on  new projects. For example Instagram, a photo sharing filtering app wasn’t Kevin Systrom the CEO and founder’s first idea, he came up of a location service app called burbn before deciding it wasn’t a good idea to pursue.

Here are a few questions to ask yourself to help evaluate whether your brilliant  is still worth chasing, or if you’re just chasing your tail.

Have I moved the needle forward?
Perhaps your venture had traction, but that stalled out long ago. Now is the time to ask yourself if you have made real progress, says Sharlyn Lauby, human resources consultant and founder of HR Bartender. If you’ve never created benchmarks for your business’s development, try to do so retroactively. Progress is not only measured in profitability. Think about the proposals you’ve put together and the clients you’ve secured. The network you’ve built and the repeat customers you’ve developed are among the tangible signs your business is growing, despite your doubts.

s it within my power to achieve my business goals?
Envision the benchmarks you’d aspire to if you continued. Could you reach them? This is not about the power of positive thinking, says Marcia Reynolds, author of Outsmart Your Brain and training director for the Healthcare Coaching Institute, but about resources, the marketplace and the overall economy. Starting a business can often take years and an idea that was viable and potentially profitable at its start might not be viable a year into development. Recessions, tightened credit and dominating competitors can change your company’s prospects. It might be time to pivot.

Am I throwing good money after bad?
Escalation of commitment is very real, says Michael “Dr. Woody” Woodward, professional coach and founder of Human Capital Integrated. You might have believe that since you’ve put time and money into a project, you should continue until it is successful. Some entrepreneurs borrow extensively, mortgage their homes, and put their personal finances and credit in jeopardy. You should honestly evaluate the additional financial investment your company needs and whether that will further your business or just buy it more time. If you are far from your business goals and money won’t fix your problems, you should stop investing money into the project and spend your time troubleshooting instead.

Am I still excited about this idea?
Entrepreneurs need to be energized by their work to sustain themselves in business and other aspects of their life, says Reynolds. When your personal life and your health begins to suffer, you might feel drained or depressed rather than fulfilled. Take stock of whether you have the passion you used to have for this project and what it might take to get excited again. It might take revaluating the problem you’re solving and growing your business in a new direction.

What opportunities have I missed?
Inevitably, you will have said no to other projects while pursuing a new venture. But if the missed opportunities are more compelling and interesting to you than the opportunity you’re trying to create for yourself, Lauby says that may be a sign that you need to walk through the new doors that are opening in front of you.
